The approach of environmental sustainability is one of reusing, reducing and recycling energy. This redirection supports a longer and healthier life of our planet, and makes us more conscious consumers and spenders, both energetically and financially. We can take the same approach of redirecting and rebalancing energy with our health. Ill health is a result of years of mishandled energy that affects our internal workings; it is also the lot we are sometimes gifted by our ancestors, or our karma. If we change how we use our energy, we take steps towards healing that are deeper, more permanent and sustainable. Sustainable health is the gateway to prevention. This does not mean curing disease but changing patterns of dysfunction, and supporting where weakness naturally occurs.
